I've always loved and had an appreciation of Nature, but now I am even more aware of everything around me -- not just the scenery -- but sounds, and smells, and the way light and shadows give new depth and dimension to trees, grass, flowers, and buildings.
And nine times out of ten ... when I stop to capture something with my camera, I always find lagniappe waiting for me. It may be in the form of a honey bee deep within the petals of a flower I'm photographing, or a chameleon resting on a branch above my hummingbird feeder. And behind every picture, I've discovered there is a story waiting to be told.
Through my Southern Lagniappe blog, I tell some of the stories behind my pictures, but Southern Accent features only my photos. I hope you enjoy your visit here, and will also join me at Southern Lagniappe to read the stories behind these and other photos.
Please note: All images are original works of Southern Lagniappe Photography, and are protected by copyright laws. Please do not copy or duplicate without written permission from Southern Lagniappe. You can reach me by e-mail at jrfq45@aol.com.
